The Team -- Kim Miller

Kim Miller, NASM CPT, AFAA CPT, IFPA CPT
-
a NASM certified personal trainer in the fitness industry since 2002. Her passion for health and wellness came as a result of spending years in corporate America selling ergonomic products and furniture to businesses.

While her own love for fitness and nutrition became evident, she came to appreciate the challenges that many of her coworkers and customers faced in adopting a healthy lifestyle because of leading demanding and busy lives. Many were working in non physical work situations for hours a day that wreaked further havoc on their bodies. These were real issues that were not generating enough attention. It was then she decided to make health and wellness her focus.

She has been certified as Master Trainer through AFAA, certified Personal Trainer through IFPA, certified as Fitness by Phone Coach, Cancer Wellfit Instructor, Project Adventure Team Building Instructor as well as Fitness Coordinator for Sportsclub Greenville.

Her thirst for knowledge and natural talent in the area of fitness has spurned many programs that she personally choreographed at the Sportsclub Greenville, such as hip hop dance class, street boxing and conditioning class, intense body boot camp class, as well as small group instruction. She currently teaches fitness classes to cancer survivors in the Cancer Wellfit Program.

Kim’s achievements are the establishing of several business entities in the health field. She is current owner of Fit4Business, a corporate wellness and team building company that focuses on instituting as well as tracking the progress of wellness programs, through assessments and online personal training and nutrition programs. On site boot camps, lunch and learn presentations that she considers to be the most unique and engaging as well as fitness challenges within the workplace.

She is also the owner of Fitt4U Workout & Gym Design, bringing her attention back around to the busy worker who needs to find the time and the program to work out at home. As a former decorator and experience in commercial office layout and design she takes a small office or a small bedroom and based on a personal fitness assessment, designs a personal fitness studio and workout program that is tracked online and through handheld virtual trainers. Nutrition programs are also monitored through online access.

She is contributing author to IDEA Fitness Journal in January 2008 and has been asked to contribute throughout the year. Kim is most proud of her five children and two grandchildren and her marriage of 28 years. She considers herself unique in her ability to be creative in developing exercises and programs to stimulate muscles as well as people. It’s been often said to her, “You must not have slept last night to have thought of that one”! She loves the challenge of studying an exercise machine and notating how the body works with it and finding a way to take it off the floor and into a functional or real life setting.

Her passion is to share her experience and help create change, one person at a time.
